therefore, i've chosen my favorite items (that i would love to own) and show them! my favorite is last.. i'll give you a hint: it has a shutter button! :)
Dresses
diving in - i always look at dresses first, because i love the way dresses make me feel. there is one for every occasion, y'know? whether i'm going on a picnic, or to the movies, or to a wedding, a dress can do the dressing job. i chose three dresses for three different scenarios.
1) Collar Palette Dress... $49.99
listen.. this dress has two of my favorite bright colors: mint and coral. i could do so much with this, but i was envisioning it with a belt and some pretty flats or my sperry's for a cute date with loverboy.
2) Come on Dune Dress... $99.99
honestly, i have no idea where i would wear this irl, but i have another idea. because i do photography on the side as a tinytinytiny business endeavor, i was considering this for a photoshoot. of course, for that purpose, i'll wait for it to be discounted before i buy, but who knows. perhaps i'll be posting with photos of this sometime soon!
3) Informal Intermission Dress... $82.99
this last dress could be fairly versatile as far as *dressingup* and *dressingdown* but.. ninety percent of the time i would choose to dress it up. special occasions during the summer, here we come.
Tops
the next thing i always look for is tops. i always seem to have plenty of jeans or shorts or whatever, but not many fun tops. they're always either very minimalistic and plain, or extremely over-the-top/not for everyday wear. i'm on the hunt for new additions!
1) Buttercup Me Up Top... $54.99
i have one concern with the description of this top.. it's sheer. sometimes with a good nude bra i can get away with things like this, but sometimes it's a no-go. while i could obviously wear a different shirt under it, i try to stay away from that. it's summer. it's hot.
2) Jet Flag Top... $62.99
this is another piece that i would definitely wait to purchase once it's been marked down. that being said, i love it. it's perfection.
3) I Can Seed Clearly Top in Blackberry... $39.99
okie, this, i know, is not cheerful or summery. but what i'm keeping in mind is that a) i'm not always cheerful, and b) it's not always summery. SO this top is on my wishlist because i really want it, and they just added it to the site, not because i want to wear it in june.
4) Rules of Abstraction Top in Geometric... $39.99
this is merely here for the sake of wishful thinking. i look terrible in these sorts of things. but it's pretty!
5) Trail of the Century Top... $27.99
this is simple and airy and flowy and nice. i like it.
Various Clothing / Shoes
i generally tend to move on to shoes and accessories from here, or to bathing suits during this time of the year. here are some of my favorites from those areas, with a skirt thrown in first:
1) Pencil the One Skirt... $74.99
no words can do this justice.
these are already sold out in my size! but, luckily, modcloth is pretty good about restocking items so perhaps.. these will still be in my future! aren't they adorable?
i'm a sucker for one-pieces, and this one is corally. enough for this girl! now if i could see one more markdown, i'd purchase!
did i say i was a sucker for one-pieces? i meant socks! i may not wear these during the summer, but around september they'd get a whole lot of foot time.
i'm in need of flats; i went looking for flats; these are cute flats.

Home Oddities

so, i'm obsessed with the world. like, thinking about getting a tattoo of a map of the world obsessed. and i mean, this would be cute in my dorm room, right?

i am really getting into toy cameras lately (and by lately i mean always), and this diana is coral. i mean.. hey, gorgeous! wanna hop into my bag and explore with me?
that's all, folks! while i love making these little wishlists, it also makes me a little sad. why? because if i were to buy every item on this page, it would cost $940.85 sooooo.. that sucks. my last paycheck was only like a hundred dollars. being a soon-to-be college student has made me realize what being poor feels like.
