ever since i was little, i knew i would travel to new york. luckily, my loverboy and i both love going new places, so i'm sure we'll make the trip sometime. what he doesn't know (and i am a tad ashamed to admit) is that at the moment, the highlight of my trip may be to buy clothing from [topshop].
my obsession with topshop started with my fourteen-year old self being obsessed with kate moss. her glamour no longer enamors me, but topshop is still on the top of my "want to experience list." keep in mind, this started long before the first topshop was even opened in the US.
so, without further adieu, my june 2012 topshop wishlist:
BAGS
Stud Travel Card Holder... $10
i love this for summer, because it's really all you need on days you're at a festival or a carnival or an amusement park. it sucks to carry around a full size purse to places like that, especially when you can't always hold on to it, like on roller coasters. maybe i'm the only one who likes roller coasters? doubt it. besides that, it would make a cute little wallet for the rest of the year!
DRESSES
Lace Strappy Sundress... $72
first off, i believe this dress also came in a white color. i chose the red one because i don't have a ton of red in my wardrobe, but i think it looks nice on me. i was also thinking that the contrast of the bright color against my pale skin with the cutout would be pretty. overall, it's just the perfect summery dress.
Pleat Midi Shirtdress... $100
in comparison to the other dress, i think this one has fewer options for dressing it up. i would wear this casually with some cute sandals and a sunhat. i not only love the gorgeous color, but i also think that the midi length is very in and flattering!
JEANS
Moto High Waisted Kristen Jeans... ON SALE for $50
i think that jeans are an essential part of one's wardrobe, no matter what the season. in the summer, though, you can have a little more fun! these two pairs are colorful and vibrant. this first pair is right up my alley, because i love high waisted bottoms, and lavender is my favorite color. win-win!
Moto Tapered Stripe Jeans... ON SALE for $40
these jeans are cropped, which means they'd probably hit me right above the ankle, which i'm loving recently. i also love the slimming vertical stripes and the lovely coloring. gorgeous!
SHOES
Maddie Mint Eva Sole Brogues... $64
i think it's difficult to tell, but these amazing brogues are in a lovely shade of light mint green. this color is exactly on point with the trends this season, and when pairing the trendy color with a classic shoe, i think perfection is attainable. this shoe does a wonderful job of matching the two.
SHORTS
Bow Belted Shorts... $52
everyone wears shorts in the summer, and i am not an exception to the rule. i'm showing two very different ends of the spectrum today, however, and the first is professional. these shorts are clean and crisp and lovely. end of story.
Moto Dip Dye Mid Length Shorts... $70
these grungy looking shorts are the opposite of the shorts featured above, but i love them just as much. if i would have had these a few days ago, i would've worn them to our local carnival to go on the rides and munch on cotton candy. too cute!
SKIRTS
Shadow Palm Pencil Skirt... $76
this skirt is perfect for all of those weddings or other semi-formal occasions that summer involves. it would have been perfect for a recital i attended a few weeks back! not only is it wonderful for summer, but it could also transition very well for the other seasons beautifully.
HOSIERY
Lilac Tie Dye Footless Tights... $20
i want these SOOOO badly! they are simple and perfect for pairing with an oversized men's tee (which i've been rocking a lot lately) instead of skinny jeans or plain black leggings.
Pelerine Ankle Socks... $6
i wouldn't neccesarily be wearing them at this point of the summer, but back in the cooler days of spring, these would have been a staple item in my wardrobe. they're the perfect weight to wear with your sandals to start breaking them in for the summer!
TOPS
Bow Peplum Blouse... $64
once again, this is that trendy mint color that i'm loving right now. this sheer top is perfect for layering with bandeaus and camisoles, and the peplum is very flattering on my body type, provided that it hits me in the right place. *wish i could try it on*
Snake Print Extreme Hem Shirt... $68
this is basically a high-low or waterfall shirt. it has the same concept, except the front hem won't cover your lady bits. this is when you pair it with skinny jeans or leggings, and have yourself a simple but put-together outfit!
hope you enjoy this wishlist!
my week from instagram will be the next post!
